Antalya Cappadocia 2-Days Tour Program:
Day 1
After a journey of about 3 hours passing through coastline resorts such as Side and Alanya, we give a breakfast stop near Seydisehir town. The journey towards Cappadocia region continues after breakfast.
We will arrive in the Cappadocia region at noon and take a break for lunch around 14:00. Lunch is open buffet. After lunch, we will visit Tatlarin Underground City. This early Byzantine underground city will fascinate you with its tunnels and living spaces such as kitchens, stables, warehouses, chapels and living quarters. Right next to the underground city is the Tatlarin monastery. You will also have the chance to explore this early church of Christianity. After visiting this magnificent place, we take a break in Dream Valley and Monks Valley. The magnificent views here will surely amaze you and you will feel like you are in a dream world with the landscape full of fairy chimneys (Peribacalari in Turkish) around you. Fairy chimneys are geographical formations consisting of soft volcanic rocks in the shape of towers or cones in Cappadocia.
Our next stop will be the old Greek village of Çavusin. This early Christian settlement has a history of 2000 years. Here, you will see many living areas of the first Christians carved into the fairy chimneys. The Church of St. John the Baptist, one of the first churches of Christianity, is also located here. This church inside a giant fairy chimney will definitely impress you.
After visiting these magnificent places, you will check into our hotel in Ürgüp district around 18.30. You will have your delicious open buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant at 19.00. After dinner, you can relax in your comfortable room or explore the Ürgüp area. Alternatively, you can go for the famous Turkish night held in a nearby cave restaurant and listen to Turkish folk music and watch exhilarating belly dancer performances.
Day2
The second day starts early at 04.30 for the guests who want to participate in the balloon tour or watch the balloon take-off on site. The guide brings the participants to the balloon departure point by bus. After the event, participants return to the hotel around 06.30. Your open buffet breakfast will be ready at the hotel restaurant at 07:00.
After breakfast, we will set out towards Three Graces Point, one of the landmarks of Cappadocia. There are three fairy chimneys side by side at this location. Your cameras will be overworking for the picturesque views here. The next stop of the trip is at Dervent Valley. You will see the largest fairy chimneys at this location. The views of the living spaces of the first Christians carved into the rocks here are truly impressive. Then, the last break of the trip will be at Üçhisar Castle. This place consists of two huge fairy chimneys side by side. It was used as a defensive fortress in the past. A magnificent view of Cappadocia will greet you at the top of the castle.
Our next stop will be at a pottery workshop in Cappadocia. The pottery works of Cappadocia are well known in the world. You will even take a pottery lesson from the potters here and learn how to create a pottery piece.
After this last visit, we will set out on our return journey.
On our return journey, we will have a lunch break in Konya. After lunch, our return journey to Antalya continues. We will drop you off at your hotel around 20:00.
