Pamukkale Travertine Terraces And Thermal Springs of Karahayıt
Pamukkale's white limestone-covered majestic travertines are the primary reason for its name: "cotton castle". The mineral-rich pools of water have magical soul-nourishing properties where you can feel every single one of your muscles soothing and unwinding. The temperature of these thermal springs is about 35 degrees all year long. It has been proven through scientific studies that swimming in the thermal waters of Pamukkale has a positive effect on many diseases, especially arteriosclerosis and rheumatism, as well as skin, eye and nerve diseases.
Visiting Karahayıt Thermal Facility is also on the itinerary of this excursion. The facility is only 3 km from Pamukkale. This place is known for its curative thermal springs. The temperature of red thermal water here is 60 degrees in all seasons of the year and has healing effects similar to those of Pamukkale thermal springs.
Hierapolis Ancient City and Cleopatra Pool
Hierapolis Ancient City in Pamukkale, Turkey, is a hub of cultural attractions where you can explore the lifestyle and architecture of the people who lived there centuries ago. It was founded 2500 years ago as a spa town and was known as a "holy city" in the Roman era. The ruins of bathhouses, temples, and other buildings are worth visiting and admiring. The 1800-year-old Roman amphitheatre is particularly impressive. It is the most important and genuine theatre building in the Mediterranean Region. You will have a hard time believing those people's insight and artistic nature.
Cleopatra Pool is a must-see place to swim above the ancient ruins and feel like a luxuriant royal. The thermal water in this pool is 36.5 degrees Fahrenheit in all seasons.
