Any post office in Side can also exchange major currencies to TL and the bigger ones also deal in lesser-known currencies. But these places have opening hours and days just like that of the banks. They operate from Monday to Friday, opening at 9 am and closing at 5 pm. You can easily have your euros/dollars/sterling exchanged and the process is also not tiring. However, bear in mind that they don’t deal in Scottish notes.
4. Exchange Offices (Döviz Bürosu)
Döviz Bürosu or Currency Exchange Offices are the most preferred sources of money exchange in Side. You can have them at any shopping complex such as Manavgat Town Center, Side Town Center, and shopping malls. Nearly all the offices deal in major currencies and for your information, the exchange rate offered is much better than those offered by the banks. Some of the offices don’t even charge any commission or “komisyon”. If you further want to go for a better exchange rate, exchange your money in any of the offices located in marketplaces rather than near tourist attractions.
One more thing: these offices also operate in major airports, but the exchange rate there is not favourable.
