Side or Alanya – Which one is better?
Turkey is a beautiful country with a rich history and culture, so people from all over the world come swarming in there for getaways. The country has many popular tourist attractions, but Side and Alanya are two of the most sought after attractions. There has been a long debate over, which destination is better: Side or Alanya? Side is much more developed than Alanya so has the characteristic features of a busy tourist city. On the other hand, Alanya is the epitome of a laidback and easygoing tourist attraction. There is more of natural beauty and aesthetical loveliness there than Side, which has more man-made and built stuff to attract people. The valleys, greenery and rivers at the Alanyan side of Turkey are more refreshing and soothing. The people are also more friendly and hospitable, so the tourists find themselves part of many local celebrations and festivities when they are at Alanya during holiday season. There are restaurants and hotels there in Alanya, but they are less advanced and luxuriant than those in Side. The holiday resorts and hotels in Side are spread over a wide area. On the other hand, Alanya is smaller and compact.
Turkish cuisine is lovely and equally delectable in both Side and Alanya, so the food is no issue. The local culture and historical buildings are also diverse and unique in both places, so there is no comparison between both.
